TERRAIN
ROAD
The line between tires has blurred recently as "road" tires have been getting wider. Generally now, you could say a road tire is between 28c - 35c with little to no tread. The rolling resistance is lower on these, increasing speed on smoother surfaces.
We, and the industry as a whole, have shifted to tubeless only setups, where the rims and tires run low pressures to improve puncture resistance, rolling resistance, comfort and safety. And surprisingly, it's also faster It's a win, win, win.
GRAVEL
We define any tire over 32c and treaded as a gravel tire (although you can ride any tire anywhere you want). The increased surface area and tread provide better grip and handling on loose and uneven terrain.
The size and tread pattern is a personal choice. You can fit up to a 40c tire on your Surveyor, but if you ride mostly hard packed dirt, you might prefer to go a bit smaller. File tread is also a great option when your route is firmer, but if you like the loose stuff, consider something a bit knobbier.

The reinforced tire for fast gravel
Extremely fast, extremely durable, extremely stable – choose all three. The Terreno Zero Endurance tire combines the speed of the road-racing Corsa with the stabilizing grip of the Terreno Dry gravel tire and the added protection of 360-degree puncture resistance. On hard, dry surfaces, well-groomed gravel, and routes that mix road and gravel sections, no tire is faster and more reliable.

The lightweight tire for fast gravel
Hardpack fire roads, groomed gravel, and routes that blend tarmac with chunky choss – if the terrain is well behaved, then no gravel tire is faster than the Terreno Zero Lite. It spins up fast and rolls with aggression on slick, hard surfaces while dialing up secure bite on corners and gravel sections.

The reinforced tire for dry gravel
The Terreno Dry Endurance does exactly what its name implies: it endures. Long-wearing, puncture-resistant construction means more time in the saddle and less time fumbling at tools during mid-ride repairs. The tire’s tubeless construction allows for lower PSI, muting chatter and taking the edge off big hits while further reducing puncture risk.
Despite its ultra-durable qualities, the Terreno Dry Endurance still rolls fast on dirt, gravel, and turf, and the gradual depth transition from rolling strip to shoulder tread makes for smooth corning – well, as smooth as the gravel allows.

The lightweight tire for dry gravel
The Terreno Dry Lite spins up fast and rolls with durable aggression over everything from packed fire roads to loose gravel and dry turf. Though the terrain may be jarring, the gradual transition from the center strip to the shoulder knobs means that leaning into turns isn’t. No bump up or awkward transition, just cornering as smooth as the gravel allows.
The Terreno Dry’s tubeless construction lets you run it at lower PSI, muting chatter, taking the edge off bigger hits, and increasing puncture resistance.
